These paintings are about pushing the limitations. The images are executed in a heavy, even course, texture of color—shifting and changing, with opening and closing spaces, offering no beginning or end. Images that can be viewed from any perspective with a multitude of emotive responses. When people look at the work, questions are often asked about what it’s supposed to be; searching for a recognizable object. Abstract work is about expressing feelings and emotions in a visual sense. The intent is for viewers to feel the work and come to their own personal interpretation based on forms, colors, shapes and textures.
