KP Brass Band will be rockin’ the Alibi tomorrow night to celebrate Mardi Gras from 9 PM to 1 AM. There is a suggested donation of $5 with all proceeds being donated to Homer Council on the Arts’ Kathy Pate Scholarship Fund. We look forward to seeing you there!
Up close and in person is a whole new experience for dance! Built with the intent to foster inventive dance, Tiny Dances turns traditional dance performance on its head. Dancers explore the possibilities of collapsing familiar vocabulary to fit onto a 4’ by 8’ stage.
Matt Steffy and Dr. Mike Sturn will delight us with an evening interwoven with thought provoking music and spoken word, naughty noshes and lively libations that tickle your palate.
This year’s kickoff event is presented in partnership with Hospice of Homer and the Friends of the Homer Library in conjunction with The Big Read. This year’s book, written by Roz Chast from the New Yorker, has inspired a wide range of performance ideas.
