RAISE THE BIG TOP!!

HCOA EXPANSION PROJECT, PHASE 2

Since 1975, HCOA has had a goal to provide space for performance and community art events. Completing Phase I of the Expansion Project in 2015, the Board approved moving forward to build a space that will accommodate approximately 200 audience members for performances, a gathering space for community events and meetings, an open space for movement classes, and so much more! After one full year of engineering challenges, the project budget has grown. With $263,058 in support from a few generous local donors, local businesses, and the Rasmuson Foundation, we are well on our way to completing the funding needed. We project a target start date of June 1, 2018.

WITH YOUR HELP, WE CAN MAKE THE MARY EPPERSON PERFORMING ARTS AND COMMUNITY CENTER A REALITY!

The 50 foot yurt, just shy of 2000 square feet, will comfortably hold 200 people. With a dance friendly floor, natural gas heat, HVAC system, additional insulation, internal support for aerial rigging, and performance ready lights and sound, the yurt will serve as the perfect structure for a wide variety of classes, workshops, and events. Adjacent storage will house tables, chairs, and equipment so the space can be tailored to user needs. A partial wrap around porch will include ADA accessible portable toilets until Phase 3 has been completed.
